Sadly, your local foodbank is becoming busier again. We gave out more food and helped more people than ever before when the pandemic took hold, but now rising prices are taking their toll on everyone’s finances.
If you are able to help, we would be very grateful for donations of the following:
Tins of rice pudding, custard, baked beans, tomatoes, corned beef, soup and Fray Bentos meat pies. Also, breakfast cereal, tea, packets of instant mashed potato, chocolate, fruit squash, jars of pasta sauce and dog food.
We have plentiful stocks of porridge, and lots of tins of prunes, mixed beans, chick peas and lentils to last us a while!
There are collection points behind the checkouts at Sainsburys in Hunstanton, and in the village shop in Burnham Deepdale.
Alternatively, we can take donations at St. Edmund’s Church Hall, Church Street, Hunstanton PE36 6BE on Mondays and Thursdays 1.30-2.30 pm.
Many thanks for your help, James Monro (Chair of Trustees).
